Job DescriptionThe Supervisor Trainee will train to have understanding of the facility in preparation for promotion to a first line supervisor position, which would be responsible for supervising line employees in their respective department(s).
Responsibilities Fill in for other supervisor vacations and LOA's.
Train to direct and motivate employees to achieve department goals and standards on yield, quality, productivity and safety.
Lead respective department and for meeting departmental goals and standards on quality, yield, productivity, cost and safety.
Directly responsible for the development and training of employees, working within the guidelines or the Union contract and company policies.
Directly responsible for monitoring standards and indexes needed to control area or responsibility.
Directly responsible for giving safety orientations and holding safety/general meetings.
Quick and timely feedback to supervision on all exceptions in regard to productivity, downtime, quality, yield, cost and safety.
Qualifications Must possess a B.
S.
or B.
A.
degree in Business Management or equivalent work experience (preferably in the agricultural industry) Must have demonstrated the ability to communicate verbally and in writing and must have strong interpersonal skills Must have balanced technical/mechanical/human resource knowledge Must be able to evaluate line employees fairly and objectively Must be computer literate in Windows environment Must have the ability to interface on daily basis with all support groups or departments Bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
