1K - $23K a year 14 days ago 14 days ago 14 days ago Under the direction of the Housekeeping / Laundry Supervisor, the Laundry Aide is responsible for ensuring Facility linen and resident's personal clothing are properly collected, sorted, laundered, distributed and/or stored according to Company policy.
DUTIES 1.
Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments to meet Facility needs.
2.
Handles all laundry in accordance with sanitary guidelines.
3.
Sorts all soiled laundry into appropriate categories.
Lifts and carries loads of laundry to / from cleaning equipment.
4.
Washes, dries, folds, and hangs all laundry neatly and properly.
5.
Identifies personal laundry with resident's name and re-marks personal clothing items, as needed.
6.
Returns clean resident laundry to appropriate rooms and supply areas.
7.
Cleans dryer filters every 2 (two) hours, keeps laundry area clean, machines dusted, and floor mopped weekly.
8.
Works in cooperation with other employees of the Facility to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for both residents and staff.

Interacts with residents and family members, co-workers, clinical and ancillary staff in a non-judgmental, supportive and calm manner.
10.
Addresses family satisfaction issues immediately by reporting them to the Supervisor in a professional manner.
11.
Participates as assigned in the orientation of new staff and demonstrates a positive, helpful, and enthusiastic attitude.
12.
Performs Housekeeper duties as needed.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
