Laundry Aide

Under the direction of the Housekeeping / Laundry Supervisor, the Laundry Aide isresponsible for ensuring Facility linen and resident's personal clothing are properlycollected, sorted, laundered, distributed and/or stored according to Company policy.
DUTIES1Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments to meet Facilityneeds.
2Handles all laundry in accordance with sanitary guidelines.
3Sorts all soiled laundry into appropriate categoriesLifts and carries loads oflaundry to / from cleaning equipment.
4Washes, dries, folds, and hangs all laundry neatly and properly.
5Identifies personal laundry with resident's name and re-marks personal clothingitems, as needed.
6Returns clean resident laundry to appropriate rooms and supply areas.
7Cleans dryer filters every 2 (two) hours, keeps laundry area clean, machinesdusted, and floor mopped weekly.
8Works in cooperation with other employees of the Facility to maintain a clean andsanitary environment for both residents and staff.
9.
Interacts with residents and family members, co-workers, clinical and ancillarystaff in a non-judgmental, supportive and calm manner.
10Addresses family satisfaction issues immediately by reporting them to theSupervisor in a professional manner.
11Participates as assigned in the orientation of new staff and demonstrates apositive, helpful, and enthusiastic attitude.
12Performs Housekeeper duties as needed.
